Herd health planning is becoming an increasingly important part of farm assurance. This should not be considered to be a “tick box” exercise but rather a very useful dialogue between the farmer and the vet and an opportunity to review the farm's disease and problems as well as arrange some useful protocols to disease prevention.
Many clients have found this to be very beneficial and while the practice was part of a DEFRA funded initiative to develop a simple system of disease monitoring.
Emergency Care
We provide round the clock cover by the farm animal team. The office at Eccleshall is open 8.30am to 6.00 pm every weekday and 8.30am to 1.00 pm on Saturdays. Outside those hours the phones are put through to our messaging service where you will speak to an operator who will then call the duty vet.
