Hanley Out of Hours

Shires Vets partner with a veterinary organisation called Vets Now Ltd who specialise in providing Out of Hours accident and emergency care. Vets Now are already well established in our local area and operate from PDSA Petaid Hospital.

Using the Vets Now service is simple and straightforward. If you require assistance simply do the same as you are doing now. Call us on 01782 214683 and listen to the message which will give you the emergency contact number. When you call Vets Now their trained Receptions, Veterinary Nurses or Surgeons will be waiting to help. They will discuss your concerns for your pet and if required you will be advised to attend the clinic where you will be seen by the emergency team.
  • If you pet required hospitalisation during a working week day i.e. between 8.30am and 6.30pm you will either be asked to transport your pet to Stone immediately or we will arrange for it to be transported to Stone during the day. It will then remain at Stone until it is well enough to come home.
  • If it is seen out of hours at the Vets Now Clinic and requires further hospitalisation then we will readmit it to either Hanley or Stone depending on the problem that you pet has.
