John Treanor Followed in his father's footsteps in becoming a veterinary surgeon.
John has been involved with horses all his life as his father was a keen horseman and even used to point to point a one eyed horse. As one of the founding partners of Shires Veterinary Practice John has been instrumental in building up the equine business to its current successful state. Will Jeffels Will Jeffels is a partner in the practice.
His interests include feline medicine, cardiology and ultrasound.
Will has two dogs, Bolly a mad Springer Spaniel and Poppy, a Norfolk Terrier, two cats, two horses (which he claims no responsibility for), ducks and chickens! Surgery: Stone, Hanley Department: Small Animal |

Paul Snape Qualified from Liverpool in 1994 and worked in Burton on Trent for 3 years before joining Shires in 1997. During his time at Shires Paul has developed an increasing interest in horses which now fill most of his working day. Eddie Friend Eddie is a partner in the practice and often consults at Loggerheads for evening surgeries. He has an extensive knowledge of poultry and llamas amongst other things! Eddie has his own farm at Bridgemere milking 250 cows. Surgery: Loggerheads, Eccleshall Department: Farm Animal
Jessica Hulme Jessica Hulme BVM&S MRCVS is a partner in the practice.
Her interests include dentistry, exotic pets (especially small 'furries') and behavioural problems.
Jessica has two (very mad) dogs, lots of guinea pigs and four chickens.
Jessica has recently undertaken a 5 day advanced dentistry course in the USA and is now able to offer state of the art dental treatment including crowns, fillings, orthodontics and much more. Surgery: Stone, Hanley Department: Small Animal |

Geraint Davies Geraint graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2003. After spending 3 years as a farm vet in North Wales he joined the Shires team to concentrate on small animal work in 2006. Geraint spends equal amounts of time in the Stone and Hanley practices, particularly enjoying surgery – but occasionally still dons wellies and waterproofs and gets out on farm. Kate Bailey Kate joined Shires in August 2006 after spending her first year as a practicing vet in North Wales. She had previously gained much farm animal experience as a Liverpool Veterinary Student at our Eccleshall surgery. A local lass, originating from a farming background in Leek, she concentrates on large animal work. In her spare time she enjoys fell running for fun and competition, and general mountain walking. Dawn McClung Dawn graduated from Dublin in 2005. She spent a year as a small animal intern in Edinburgh before moving to Shires. Her particular interests are canine and feline internal medicine cases. Outside work she enjoys horse riding and walking with her springer spaniel Jessie. Surgery: Hanley Department: Small Animal |

Lucy Lack Lucy qualified in 2006 and joined Shires in 2008 after a two year spell in Ashbourne. She is based at the Stone practice with occasional days at Eaton Park. Her particular area of interest is canine and feline opthalmology (eyes). In her spare time Lucy enjoys gardening and oil painting. Surgery: Stone, Hanley Department: Small Animal |

Sarah Walker Sarah graduated from London in 2007 and joined Shires straight from university. Having spent 2 years as a mixed species vet, she has now seen the light and made the move onto the small animal team. Surgery: Stone, Eccleshall, Hanley Department: Small Animal |

Ted Cutting Ted graduated from Cambridge in 2007. His interests include hockey and football, singing with Stone choral society and playing the piano. Surgery: Stone, Eccleshall Department: Farm Animal, Small Animal |

Sarah Malpass Sarah has worked for Shires ever since graduating in 1993. She is married to a local dairy farmer and currently works part time on the farm side. Surgery: Eccleshall Department: Farm Animal, Small Animal
Cathy Hubbard Cathy joined Shires in 2009, fresh from University. She currently splits her weeks between small animal, equine and farm animal work, though her real passion is for the horse work. She will be providing support to Paul and John on the equine team. Surgery: Department: Equine |

Charlie Forman Charlie qualified from Bristol in 2007 and joined Shires in 2009. He is interested in all areas of small animal medicine and works mainly at Stone.
