Paul Snape

Clinical Director Equine Vet

Paul was brought up in the Lake District before completing a Biochemistry then Veterinary degree at The University of Liverpool. He graduated in 1994 and worked in another midlands mixed practice before joining Shires in 1997. In 2001 Paul became a partner in the business and began to develop an interest in equine medicine as well as farm work. Whilst having overall responsibility for the Large Animal department, Paul now spends most of his time with horses. Equine dentistry and nasopharyngeal medicine have become a particular passion.

Away from work Paul is a keen fisherman and fell walker. However much of his spare time is spent shivering at the local ice rink where his two daughters are progressing through their British Ice Skating exams.
