It’s time to introduce some new faces!

Adam Reeves joins Shires VetsAs many of you will already be aware we have had a few staff changes recently, and we have a couple of new faces to introduce.

Adam Reeves is joining us as a full time farm vet. “I qualified from Liverpool University in 2010 and have worked in a few farm practices in Shropshire and the surrounding area, including previously with Dave!

I also briefly worked as a vet in the poultry industry, which has given me a unique insight in to preventative medicine on an industrial scale! My real calling though has always been livestock.

I enjoy all aspects of cattle and sheep work, particularly health planning and semen testing. Outside of work my time is now largely taken up with my new born daughter.

When I have chance I like to be in the hills and mountains, either on my bike or with my Labrador.”

Holly Ravenhall is joining us in a mixed role, sharing her time 50/50 between large and small animal work. Holly is transferring to us from our sister practice, Donnachie & Townley, in Rugeley.

Some of you may recognise Holly as she has previously helped us out on a few weekends on call. “I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2017 and I am particularly interested in herd health management and small animal medicine.”

In my spare time I enjoy cycling, travelling and drinking gin!

Finally, Lucian has been our TB tester for the last 6 years but has now chosen to leave for pastures new. We would like to thank Lucian for his hard work over the years and wish him well for his future.

We will hopefully have someone new to fill his boots soon. We hope you will all join us in welcoming Adam and Holly to the team, and look forward to meeting them both out and about.
